Smile

My husband called to me last night to come outside and look at the sky. It was UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL! The night sky looked as if there were some sort of celestial event happening. The stars looked so close you could reach out and grab one. The Milky Way was splashed right across our house, plus it’s the start of “falling star” season. I have no idea what it’s really called, but I know it happens every year at this time.

My birthday is on August 11th. I’ve always chose to spend it on the river, on the ocean, or outdoors somewhere and the shooting stars have always been a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Being sick, I’ve slowed down to take advantage of life’s little presents like that. Meaning…. I never turn down an invitation to look at the stars, a full moon, a crescent moon, a harvest moon, a sunset, a sunrise, or a good thunder and lightning storm. Life is so full of invitations and gifts! I’m just glad to be getting them still.
