Patience
Patience has never been one of my stronger qualities.
No lifting, no bending below the waste, no going out in public to risk infections, colds, flu or whatever bug might be floating around. No stairstepper, no weights. Nothing for another 2 months. I’m going stir crazy. I’ve been reading until my eyes bug out. Yesterday marked 6 weeks exactly since surgery, but I am having a salty drainage of something going down the back of my throat. I think I might have over done it the day of the fire. I am really hoping and praying I did not spring a leak, that it is NOT spinal fluid draining down the back of my throat and that a little bit of drainage is “normal”. Left word for my neuro surgeon and hopefully he will call back saying “not to worry”.
“He that can have patience can have what he will.”
“All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope”
“Patience is the companion of wisdom.”
“Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.”
“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.”
“Patience is a virtue, Possess it if you can, Seldom found in woman, Never found in man”
“Rome wasn’t built in a day…”
or is it…. all roads lead to Rome???
